As the Fairfield Golf & Country Club has recently past its Quasquicentennial (125th anniversary), we are reminded of the vision of our founding members:
“The chief object in life of each member of this club shall be to beat the record; to engender envious misery in others and to discuss the exploits and wonders of the game with any benighted mortal who at the moment is available.”
These wise words come from Article ii of the 1896 written constitution of the Kahgahgee Golf Club, the original name of the Fairfield Golf & Country Club.
