Memorial Day
Couples Golf Tournament
May 25th – Tee Off 12:30pm
Best Shot Format
$10 entry per person, paying top 3 finishes!
Dust off those irons, dust off that significant other, and spend this Memorial Day daring to test your mettle against the best and brightest golfing power couples in the club. Or you can heckle each other from the cart. That's fun too.
The tournament is on Monday, not Sunday. There was some confusion in the newsletter this month because El Presidente was fed bad intelligence from the golfing committee. That issue has been resolved. So mark your calendar for Monday – not Sunday – and come out for some Best Shot with your spouse or significant other. What better way to cap off the three day weekend?

Saturday, May 23rd – 6pm
Join us for some great food and drinks outside for the first Patio Party of the year. Featuring special musical guest Steve McLain to set the festive mood for a great evening at the club. Music will start at 7 – so find that babysitter, cancel those other plans, and show up early to enjoy a special dinner menu & drink specials.
Non-member guests are also welcome to the Saturday night festivities. This will be a great opportunity to invite some friends and earn those bonus $100 membership drive incentives!

Welcome Lisa Wildrick!
The Fairfield Golf & Country Club is extremely pleased to formally introduce Lisa Wildrick as our new Executive Chef & General Manager! Lisa comes to us from the Big Sky Resort in Montana where she was the Executive Chef for two of their restaurants. She also was key in getting the inaugural Big Sky “Vine & Dine” event organized with Master Sommeliers Fred Dame & Jay Fletcher and Executive Chef for Google, Scott Giambastiani. Lisa’s career has been spent at resorts and clubs surrounded by great food and fine wines – her father is even a sommelier! Legend has it as a child she learned to master a corkscrew before she figured out how to pour milk out of a carton.
Lisa has been working hard in her first few weeks coming up with a new menu for the summer months ahead and we should be getting a taste of that very soon. We are very excited to have her join our Club and excited to see what she has in store for us!
Membership Drive 2015
Current promotion – $100 food credit to new members and a bonus $100 food credit to their sponsors. Nothing can advertise to new members like the excitement of our current members – so tell a friend and you can both enjoy some free food! This $100 incentive will run until the end of June. And don’t forget that the member who sponsors the most new recruits before September 30th will receive $1000 in free food from the club.
Memorial Day Weekend Couples Golf Tournament 5/24
Take a break from the grill, the beach, and the kids, grab that significant other, and hit the course on Sunday May 24th! Which couple will be crowned the best golfing team in Fairfield? Which couple will hack around but have the most fun? And which couple will entertain us all by taking things too seriously and fighting over a dumb missed putt? All these questions and more answered this Memorial Day!
Ladies Night Every Tuesday
Who says golfing is for men only? Every Tuesday at 5:30 the ladies take over the course to play some best shot and enjoy dinner & drinks afterwards. All skill levels are welcomed, as long as you can have a good time.
Stag Night Every Thursday
Seriously though, on Stag Night golfing is for men only. 🙂 Teams are drawn at 5:30 for a handicapped format that allows even golfers with my pitiful skill level to compete. Afterwards we hang out to recap over dinner & drinks and a Texas Hold’em tournament usually breaks out by 8 o’clock. Every time you golf in Stag Night your name is entered into a drawing to be held later this fall for all kinds of great prizes!

Summer is getting closer. Finally. The cover will be coming off the pool in the next couple weeks – I’m sure Sim will be recruiting for some helpers.

2015 Membership Incentives
March and April
$125 food credit will be given to both the new member and the sponsoring member upon completion of the application.
May and June
$100 food credit will be given to both the new member and the sponsoring member upon completion of the application.
July and August
$75 food credit will be given to both the new member and the sponsoring member upon completion of the application.
September
$50 food credit will be given to both the new member and the sponsoring member upon completion of the application.
Current Member Incentive
The member who recruits the most new members to join the Club by September 30th, 2015 will receive $1,000 in food credit. To be eligible for this incentive you must recruit a minimum of five (5) new members.
NOTE: Current Fairfield Golf and Country Club Board of Director members and their significant others are not eligible to receive any of the 2015 membership incentives.

I recently talked to LISCO about the problems some members are having in not receiving the emails from the club. It seems to be a problem with emails being quarantined and the solution is to add our email address to the whitelist of acceptable emails. Below are the steps they told me would fix it.
1) log into Webmail
2) click on AntiSpam settings
3) click on From Whitelist
4) add @fgacc.com to the whitelist
