I’m looking atop the standings, trying to figure out who may be cutting down the nets and this year taking home the laurels (along with the $100 prize). With a tie at the top of the leader board between Shayla, Tim, and Ken you may think it’s anybody’s game.
But although Shayla and Ken turned in eerily identical brackets there is one glaring difference – Shayla didn’t forget to fill in the tie breaker. I trust that if the 2015 bracket pool does indeed come down to this little fact that our esteemed membership will hold themselves above constantly harassing and ridiculing Ken Malloy about his one boneheaded stupid oversight.

The first two rounds are in the books, all the Iowa teams are sadly at home licking their wounds, and the cream is starting to rise to the top of our bracket pool. Or not. Who am I kidding? Really it’s still anybody’s game as long as Glen is out there with his Kentucky picks.
3) Tai (weird spelling) Ward – I’m going to use this opportunity to crow about being in third place, but man that bracket is broke. Half my final 4 gone and no national champion winner. It’s dead.
2) Ty (normal spelling) Miklo – Wait, what? Basketball coach with basketball knowledge does well picking basketball games. What a ringer.
1) Dan Sliwinski – No surprise when an optometrist has 20/20 vision in setting up his bracket. Still has seven out of his Elite 8 alive and the entire Final Four. Impressive. Currently the man to beat.

Tonight the state of Iowa will be the center of the basketball universe! Who moves on to the Sweet 16? Hawkeyes? Panthers? The only thing we know for sure is that it won't be the Cyclones.
You already know you will be parked in front of a TV. So why not watch it while eating some free chicken wings?
Iowa game starts at 6pm. The 19th hole bar will be open and everyone is invited to bring some snacks to share with the group. Adam will be cooking up some wings for everybody. Should be another great time tonight – see you there!

Dear Members,
Adam Pohren recently informed the board that he is resigning from his position at the Club. After 3+ years of long hours and hard work he is ready to take some time away to be with his family.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Adam for his years of service. Our club has undergone so many large improvements in recent years and none have been more important than the quality of food coming out of our kitchen. Fairfield Golf & Country Club has gained a well earned reputation for our great food and this is a result of countless hours of dedication by Adam and his staff. Adam takes a lot of ownership and pride in the direction the club has been heading and it shows. While the Board regrets to see Adam move on, please know that we are actively addressing all aspects of our kitchen and wait staff support. Adam plans to remain at the Club for approximately one month while we identify appropriate candidates. We will certainly keep you informed of our progress. We as a board are dedicated to maintaining and improving our culinary and service standards and appreciate our members' high expectations in these areas.
Please stop in, enjoy a great meal at the Club and take the opportunity to personally thank Adam for his services.
Best regards,
Tai Ward, President for the Board of Directors
