The club will be opening up January 2nd so we can gather together with some strong spirits and cheer the Hawkeyes on to a bowl victory.
It will be a potluck lunch, so bring some sides to share. Larry Bentler will be supplying some brats or “something meaty”. Insert your own joke here. See you Friday!

The Chili Open scheduled for this weekend has been postponed until an as of yet undetermined future date. Maybe Horras thinks that with the temperature in the mid-70’s it’s not quite chili weather yet.

The Club is introducing and announcing to all current members
a membership drive incentive.
If you sign up a new member between now and December 31st
we will credit your account for
10% of the new member’s 2014/2015 membership fee.
For example, a family golf membership is $2,072. If you sign up a
new family golf member, we will credit your account $207. There is no limit to the number of members you can sign up. Simply provide the member with an application, sign it as the sponsoring member and submit it to either a Board member or drop it off at the club.
As a an additional incentive, all memberships between now and October 31st will be at our current 2014 rates and membership will be through December 31, 2015. After October 31st new rates may apply so get them signed up now.
Contact the prospective member. Either give them an application which we stock in the 19th hole or have them go this website https://fgacc.com/membership-application/ to sign up indicating you as the sponsoring member. All available membership rates can be found on this website.

TAILGATE PARTY
Saturday, October 18th – 9:00 am
Airfare to Maryland is expensive and nobody wants to see those ugly Terp helmets in person anyway. So join us on a beautiful October Saturday in the parking lot cheering for the Hawkeyes in the first ever meeting against Maryland.
Come early, come hungry, and come thirsty! Bring some apps to share in the morning and come kickoff we’ll be grilling out for a game time lunch. Kickoff is at 11am.
Bar will be open with game day drink specials!
We’ll show them east coasters why turtles are a hawk’s natural prey.
